Our Locations

After many years in the insurance industry, Dean Ferguson launched Countryside Insurance in September of 1978, with the purchase of two small agencies in Wakarusa. This was followed with the acquisition of two additional agencies in April of 1980. The downtown Wakarusa location has been a staple in the community since the very beginning. As Countryside began to expand, staff was added. Deb Garber joined the team in 1992, and continues to serve today. In 2011 Darlene Byland came on board and enjoys being able to contribute to her community.

In January of 2018, Countryside Insurance was acquired by Miller Insurance Group, to become their 4th location throughout Indiana. There is much excitement over the future of this partnership and the increased opportunities to serve the greater Wakarusa community.
